Bell Bajao – is a 360 degree media campaign, which focuses on bringing domestic violence to a halt. It is important to realize that violence, of any kind, is not a personal affair. It violates the rights of women to lead lives free of abuse. The act of ‘ringing the bell’ is a catalyst or an initiating point towards ending domestic violence. It also enables the abuser to realize that what he is doing is wrong and there are others (community, friends) who can come up and speak to the abuser. We also need to make communities responsive, and enable them to take responsibility towards other members, and discuss the steps they can take to halt domestic violence.
