What am i supposed to do if he opens the door?
Firstly I would like to say this is a really good initiative, specially in a country like in India. My mom, sister and me have been victims of domestic violence all our lives, even today when my mom is 52, my dad who belongs to a religious background sees fit to beat my mom up with iron rods and such for issues as simple as not answering the phone in time.So seeing you guys encouraging other to stop similar stuff is very heart warming.
But I’d like to ask, as i still live in a particularly religious society where people still believe in doing ‘pardah’, how am i supposed to just go and ring the bell? the obvious response of the person would be something like ‘ye hamare ghar ka maamla hai’..or he might even vent his anger on me and get physical..and as i mentioned, mine being a conservative society even other neighbours wouldn’t approve of me interfering in someone elses matter..so do i just call the police everytime such an incident happens?
