It Takes Two: The Genesis
The Book of Genesis, also known as Breishit and an integral part of Judaism, Christianity and the first of five books of the Pentateuch or Torah, notably places Adam in The Garden of Eden at the preset, initially alone, until God realises that something was missing thus deciding to create Eve to be Adam’s companion. Breakthrough officially opens it’s "IT TAKES TWO" column with an inextricable vindication from the Old Testament, indeed, it does take two.
Religion is an integral part of society, whether you view it from a Marxist way (The Opium Of The People) or from a more spiritual percept (If You Don’t Believe In Something, You’ll Fall For Anything), it still has a strong hold on our day to day lives. It would only thus make sense to use, not manipulate, but use religion to help curb societal diseases such as domestic violence, the same way we fight crime, murder and rape via the same medium.
However, I think even before "we" decide to implement religious standards and norms in the battle against domestic violence, as was in The Book of Genesis, it has to be "we" and not just "you" or "I". Countries, individuals and coorperates, would not survive if they were to function as islands, association is pertinent in problem solving. Furthermore, religion evokes in us the principles of forgiveness, love and peace, literally across the board considering there are dosens of religions, those three principles are quite universal, thus our mindsets should centre around the three above and inevitably, positive energy will surround the campaign so that even in the toughest of situations hope will be maintained.
My language might sound quite eutopic, but I believe in the ability of every human being to change, I believe that every human being should be given the chance to change, but moreso I believe that as human beings there is only so much we can tolerate, so if it’s you being given a second chance, USE IT WISELY.
