The social stigma towards DOWRY is always been misinterpreted and the term DOWRY itself has become bogus in the present era. Slowly but steadly media is recognising the TRUTH and how badly some cunning people are using this word to materialise their uterior motives. I greatly appreciate the effort of Deccan Herald to bring up this rotten issue into day light through the article Marry shades of grey!
The word DOWRY is a bread winning tool for over 3000 women NGOs in India who aims at the Rs.7200 crore which has been assigned for women and child development in the present budget. It will amuse anyone to know that its 25% more fund than that of last budget!! Apparently even after the serial bomb blasts and severe terrorists attack our defence fund got raised only 10%!!! That shows the high potential of this 5 letter word DOWRY.
The recent judgement of dismissing ‘weaker sex’ plea by additional district judge Rajender Kumar Shastri keeps young men’s hope on Indian Judicial System which was historically proven to be 100% favourable to women. He said "True, an able-bodied person can be expected to maintain himself and family members dependent upon him. The same is equally applicable to his WIFE. In an advanced society like ours, a woman who is young, healthy and well versed cannot afford to sit idle, particularly when facing difficult circumstances, as the applicant in this case," Honorable judge has mentioned really valid and logical points which are applicable to all women. There is gross injustice for women today because of the domestic violence, which is hardly seen in the outside world. Why should men earn all the money and cannot even spare some for his old wife? This is the main reason why women have to blackmail the husband. I am sorry for all the harassed women. Shame on Deccan Herald.
What kinda question is this What kinda attitude is this? It is the fundamental right of a person to earn livelihoood. It is extremely humiliating for modern women for being parasites. See how women justifies a FALSE CRIMINAL CASE. Poor girls they dont have any other way to get FREE money, so those poor women are forced to fabricate criminal cases!!!. I feel like vomiting on such parasites. They complain about PATRIARCHY and at the same time beg for money from MEN!!!
