Shiny Ahuja Rape Case

It is highly annoying (not shocking) that our focus is on all the wrong aspects and the wrong people.
Why doesn’t the cruelty of rape jerk us? Instead of viewing the case of celebrity rapes as a chance to send a warning to the society by meeting out the severest of punishments, we further spread the idea that rape is fun and is not that bad an affair if caught when money’s there to bail one out!

Mr. Dubey, I would like to salute what you have said. The case has become a case of celebrity rape rather than RAPE making the ‘VICTIM THE ACCUSED’. In many cases the victim becomes the accused because of the status of the RAPIST…it’s his word against that of the victim. Because the RAPIST is a celebrity….the victim is accused of ‘TRAPPING’ him. Because the RAPIST is rich….the victim is accused of ‘Extortion’. Because the RAPIST was alone….the victim is accused of ‘Seduction’. It should really just be about RAPE. If he is innocent let it be proved and if he is not let him be condemned. Quote – By not coming forward (about rape), you make yourself a victim forever”
