Event Announcement: Fashion for a cause, special Bell Bajao clothing
On the occasion of Breakthrough’s 10th year of activism, the male voices from fashion fraternity have come together to raise awareness on domestic violence against women by creating special line of clothing and accessories.
3 leading designers, Aki Narula, Lecoanet Hemant and Narendra Kumar have created bespoke items like Bell Bajao T-shirts and Bags.
On January 13th, their unique pieces will be inaugurated at Tarini Jindal’s unique fashion store, Muse and will be available at the concept store throughout the month and then on www.breakthrough.tv
Verve, a leading fashion and lifestyle glossy, has joined hands with Muse in bringing Breakthrough’s cause to the forefront and will play co-host to this exciting event.
The three designers have worked closely with Muse and Breakthrough to donate their design and create items portraying their views on “Bell Bajao”. Lecoanet Hemant will be showcasing a collection of unisex t-shirts, while Aki Narula has designed a collection of desirable tote bags.
About the designers:
Lecoanet Hemant – Founded in 1978 in Paris, Lecoanet Hemant is a traditional Haute Couture house creating men and women wear par excellence: garments are unique pieces of art, hand made to perfection abiding the principles of a secular manufacturing tradition.
Aki Narula – This Kolkata based fashion designer is known for his crazy and wacky style of designing clothes. His collections are innovative, wild, humorous and modest. A popular name in Bollywood the latest movie where you can see his designs is Kurbaan.
Narendra Kumar – Winner of MTV Style Awards for 3 consecutive year, Narendra Kumar a widely respected name in the fashion business. He is a graduate of NIFT (Delhi) and a student of London School of Fashion and has been involved with the fashion business for over 13 years.
It is heartening to see more and more male voices ringing the bell in their own way, we at Breakthrough are thankful to these wonderful designers for donating their creation for this cause.
