There are several local organizations in different countries doing dedicated work. Also, academic institutions like the gender and development centre at the Sana’a University and the national commission of women in Yemen did some effective work.

Jacques Bilchak, It is rather difficult to provide links on issues which are not much talked about, at least in the context of the article. Where organizations exist and may be doing work on the issue, they may not be online or using ICT for advocacy or media work. So, we need to rely on oral accounts. I was a witness to the story that I narrated but I changed the names of all characters mainly to ensure that the child and family cannot be identified at all. There is a great need to identify different means to verify or substantiate a narrative rather than rely only on the previous body of work.
