26th September 2012, Lucknow
Breakthrough Trainers held a one-day orientation program with lecturers of Lala Mahadev Prasad Verma Balika Mahavidyalaya in Gosaiganj, Lucknow on the 26th of September 2012. 33 lecturers of the college attended the program which was facilitated by Breakthrough Trainers Archana and Sunil.
16th September 2012, Varanasi
Breakthrough’s Rights Advocates held a community mobilisation event – UDAAN: “Endless journey of a human towards rights, freedom and dignity” on the 16th of September, 2012 in Varanasi. The event was attended by 93 Rights Advocates and had an outreach of two thousand people through the rally, distribution of pamphlets and a signature campaign.
9th September 2012, Gorakhpur
Our team of Rights Advocates held a one-day orientation workshop on the subject of Domestic Violence against women was held among the members of people of Panchayati Raj Institutions across Gorakhpur territory, Uttar Pradesh) on the 9th of September 2012. Approximately 200 Panchayat workers from Gorakhpur, Dewaria, Basti, Sidharth Nagar, and Kushi Nagar attended.
30th August 2012, Lucknow
The objective of this event was to create an awareness around the problems related to religious fundamentalism, communalism etc. within the human rights perspective especially focusing on the safety and security of women who are facing violence. The symposium was held at the Nehru Yuva Kendra in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh on the 30th of August 2012. Approximately sixty male youth from the urban and rural population of Lucknow (Neelmatha and Bakshi ka Talab) attended the symposium. The event facilitator was Shri Ram Puniyani.
25th August 2012, Kanpur
Breakthrough Trainer and Rights Advocate Sunil Kumar led a Youth Sharing Programme, ‘Sandarbh’ in Kanpur on the 25th of August 2012. The workshop was attended by 220 Rights Advocates and had an outreach of 1000. The aim was to provide a platform for Rights Advocates, organizations and institutions those have worked with Breakthrough for over the years.to share their experiences and views through posters, slogans, and rangoli making.
