From 25th November to 10th December organisations around the world come together for the third time to showcase their work in advocacy and championing change to bring an end to gender violence. The theme for this third incarnation of 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence is From Peace in the Home to Peace in the World: Let’s Challenge Militarism and End Violence Against Women! with subthemes of sexual and gender-based violence committed by state agents, proliferation of small arms and their role in domestic violence, and sexual violence in and after conflict.

While this isn’t the area within which Breakthrough works, we thought this was the perfect opportunity to showcase some of the stellar work our Rights Advocates are doing over in Uttar Pradesh and Karnataka. Through these 16 Days we’ll be introducing you to ten of our Rights Advocates in addition to publishing the reports and photographs they send in from the ground.
