A range of monitoring and evaluation techniques have been used in the Bell Bajao! campaign to assess the extent to which the campaign has met its goals of:
(1) actualizing changes in individual “hearts and minds;” and
(2) reaching wide audiences with the Bell Bajao! message to initiate public conversations on issues of domestic violence, and to change the ways in which the issue is framed in the broader culture.
The extensive monitoring and evaluation techniques that were used for Bell Bajao! are instructive for organizational learning. The feedback from monitoring and evaluation activities has enabled Breakthrough to refine and revise Bell Bajao! to be more effective — and to give it greater potency as the campaign takes on a global scope.
